Summer's wrapping up! We just have a few meetings left, but it's not too late to come. Otherwise, hope to see you this Fall!

Our meetings this Fall will be on Fridays from 2-5PM, starting September 3rd. Be sure to sign up on our website to stay informed of meeting info!

If you haven't been coming to our summer meetings, here's what we've been watching:

Kannagi

Mikuriya Jin decided to use a piece of the sacred tree to carve a statue for his middle-school project and while moving it outside, the statue happens to touch the ground transforming into a cute girl. Her name is Nagi, a Shinto spirit, the guardian of the village, and she is really annoyed that her sacred tree was cut down. Having no place to live, Nagi is forced to move in with Jin and tries to accept her new existence by venting her anger against bugs by squashing them... by cleaning the "impurities".

Nagi has a rival in a little sister guardian deity, who lives in a shrine located on the other side of the river. Well, Zange-chan has woken up too and decides to become the top teen-idol of the village, much to Nagi's dismay.

Hey everyone!

Just an update on our Summer activities:
We will have a get-together at A-kon in Dallas, TX next weekend on Saturday, June 5th. We'll meet in the San Antonio B room on the 3rd floor of the convention building at 10:15AM-11:15AM for the MEK national gathering, then find somewhere to hang out afterwards.

Our summer meetings begin Saturday, June 12th!
We'll be having our meetings in Science Building room 2.02.02 on Saturdays from 6PM to 9PM.

Hey Everyone!

This Friday is Fiesta UTSA! We'll be selling shaved ice under the Sombrilla to raise fund for the club.
If you're volunteering, expect a call soon to confirm your availability. If you can't volunteer, support us by buying a cup! Also be sure to watch our dance group perform Hare Hare Yukai (The Haruhi Dance)!
Fiesta UTSA begins at 11AM and ends at 3PM, in front of the John Peace Library.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because of Fiesta, our general meeting this Friday will be moved back to 4-7PM in the Pecan room.

Only two meetings left this semester!
Our Last meeting will be on April 23rd, from 2-5PM in the Mesquite Room, and afterwards we'll have our Venture Eating event. This semester we'll be eating at Thai Bistro & Sushi (http://www.thaibistrosatx.com) next to the post office on De Zavala road. Carpooling will depart from the ugly dancing statues in front of UC Phase II at 5:30PM. Average cost is $10 per person.

Hey everyone!

This Friday after our usual meeting, we'll be going out to OrangeCup, a frozen yogurt place at the Shops at La Cantera. Meet at the ugly dancing statues outside UC Phase II for carpooling, we'll depart at 5:30PM.
